1. Could you tell us something about yourself?
My name is Cristian, I´m 21 years old and I´m living in Germany. I love to watch movies and of courseI like sports in general. I use every spare minute to do some sports, especially driving with my bike trought the woods or just hang around with my friends.

2. How and when did you find Trackmania?
I think I found it in 2005, I just wanted to play a nice racing game, and well I found tm original. It was fun, but backthen I wasn't such an addict as I am now. Everything changed, when my friend showed me Trackmania Nations ESWC. It was exactly the game I had searched. And than my journey started in late 2006 since today, with only some small breaks.

3. You are an active member of the RPG community of Trackmania. What really is RPG?
Mostly in RPG its all about Big maps, Storyline, nice enigmas, Mazes, Tricks, Texturemods and a nice flow on the whole map. The most RPGs are based on real antique places (Kwvoos, Sobekite). When you are going to play such maps as a beginner it will be a hell of a firstrun, expect for a 10 minutes map atleast 1 hour, but if you know all the small tricks its pure fun.

4. What is the difference between RPG and trial maps?
RPG normally contains: Mod, some small enigmas, a short storyline. Normally RPGs are finishable for everyone. And trial, ... well. I can sum it up with 4 words, pain in the ass. It is hard, unfair, and nearly impossible to do (atleast the "real trials"). When you play them, you can expect that your run will take atleast a few hours, maybe 1-2 days. Those tracks really make you gonna ragequit the game. :-)

5. In which teams have you driven, and what?
Well I wasn't in many teams so far, I guess only 3 in those 7 years. I started with uBp (unitedbaseplayers), a good team for the start in trackmania, they basically shown me the way for the future. Normally we played tech/lol in our team. But after I discovered RPG in late 2009, I created my own team for RPG called velo. We played some decent matches/tournaments in RPG, so we joined with the RPG team in 2011 eSportsUnited. Right now the lineup we had in 2009 is still the same, but of course we also got some new guys in the lineup. Since now eSU.rpg is the most successful RPG team in trackmania, we won the most tournaments and since now we didn´t lost a RPG match against another team, which is quiet impressive imo.

6. You have driven many genres. Which maps are your favorite in them?
This is a hard question, since I played trackmania since 2006 and I guess I played 30000+ different maps, but ofc I got my favorites. Fullspeed, its really easy for me the best Fullspeedmap is "Moving Power", it is the most played and also best known speedmap and its easy to finish hard to master. I would also name some more maps here but I dont know the names of those maps, but basically I love maps with extreme long speedslides.
Tech, well thats a bit harder, but also here, I stick to my oldschool tracks. Justice from Hoheb&phyter, ofc my favorite. But I'll also mention AnGel, ReRun and ESL - Roflmap06, those are also truely masterpieces and all those maps are built before blockmix was found in every second track.
RPG, thats pity, I like mostly all of them, every RPG is somehow my favorite, but 3 tracks are on top for me. 1. Paralell Universe, a smashing fast and long RPG from the master igntul, he just built a flawless RPG track. 2. Miner Tedd, I like the overall feeling, rushing trought a mine and
getting to the exit, pretty nice if you know the way. And on the 3rd place ?Strawberry?, also by igntul. I love it but it's still unreleased, nice route and good overall flow.

7. Most people know you as a video maker. How did you start making videos about Trackmania?
Pretty simple, I just wanted to show the world some awesome cuts and nice runs in trackmania. I really didn't know how to do awesome MT work back then in 2008, but it was fun for me and so the journey began.

8. Currently you make videos for eSU and BX3. Tell us about those two teams and your role in them.
In BX3 I´m the main editor for trackmania movies. Since Andriv joined Awsomniac I'm the only real tm editor. Basically I produce small clips from the big competitions (ESL/STC/TMM), to show all our fans & followers how we ended up in those competitions, its also pretty nice work to do, since I learn many things in photoshop aswell in BX3. And in eSU, I´m the Leader from the RPG squad. I play dirt/tech/speed/rpg competitiv, also I create sometimes a few carskins and of course I create also some movies for them.

9. How long does it take to create a basic record video of 5 minutes?
Depends, sometimes I just need less than a day and some otherdays I just don´t get the feeling for the movie, so it could take some weeks.

10. Which is your favorite video about Trackmania ever?
Well there are alot, I nearly like every clip which got a story or something special to tell me. But I'll maybe name my top3 right now:
1st We are trackmaniacs, I really loved the effort behind the clip and also the amount of skill you can see in this clip.
2nd Ballz of steel, well just skip the first 4 minutes and start watching the outro straight away, goosebumps!
3rd Reflections - A RPG cinematics, its one of my clips, but Still it gives me goosebumps when I´m watching the clip, since it was one of those clips I really loved in the end.

12. How much have you driven on the other environments of Trackmania, outside the stadium?
In my first two years, when I was playing online, I played them alot. Somehow I wanted to get a nice ladderrank, so I was forced to play on those 90k United servers. I really enjoyed all enviroments, mostly I loved coast, bay and snow, obviously my strongest enviroments besides stadium. I also tried some of those United RPG/Trial maps, but I was really too bad for them. And nowdays, its all about competitions & editing, so I don´t got so much time to play other enviros anymore. Also I don´t got united installed on this computer, just nations.

13. What is your opinion about blockmixing? When does it fit?
I got two opinions for this questions, for RPG/trial maps its just unbelievable how much you could do with blockmix, you can create your own little worlds/masterpieces with it. You could create nice tracks and also build them smoothly into your scenery, also you got new transitions with blockmix.
And on the other hand you have to know, I like oldschool maps (tech/fs), in 2006-2008 we didn´t had those tools, but for me the quality of maps was much better than nowdays. Maybe blockmix is a problem, but I think its just the lack of quality mappers we had back then. so you see sometimes blockmix fits and sometimes its just horrible how this tool gets abused by someone. In the end everyone should know what he thinks is the rightway to build, and for myself I think atleast some tournament maps shouldnt be so overmixed, since Blockmix appeared also those tournament maps got a lack of quality.

14. Which interview of the previous ones is your favorite?
Well I liked them all till now, but my favorites are Karjen, Marius89 and eyebo.

15. You don't need to reveal your biggest secrets, but which programs and effects you use with videos?
For the editing and Final Cut I only use Adobe After effects CS6, some plugins for CC (Color correction) and well my own taste to produce some eyecatching work.

16. Describe yourself with four words.
Helpful Extravagant Lovely Friend

17. If you have something else to say, please write it here.

Great interview. I share the same opinion with shortz in tm blockmix, cuz now everyone can make anything with bm, but with the big competitions moving to tm2s and the lack of programmers to make a easy to work tool for blockmixing the competition maps gonna be bm free, which is nice :)

great project btw wormi
