Can I join without having a team? I'm a few days on vacation during the cup and thus, won't be able to compete for a team in the manner that would be honest to my team partner. But if you know someone who just wants to join for fun, I'm up to make a team with that person

Hey tcq, thank's for your helpful advice. I put some ''new'' Informations in the Blog-Post (1. & 2. from your comment). Would be nice to see you in the Competition. We want to start on Monday (19th October 2015) because the deadline for the registration is the 16th October 2015) I advertise it later, when i'm back home on the maniaplanet forum in the event section. Thank's for that advice, too

Sounds like a nice idea, but I would clarify the following things out of my experience of hosting competitions (TWL0/1/2, TGC1/2, VTC1). 1. There needs to be a rule that says if cuts are allowed or not. Usually in competitions cuts should be forbidden because it wastes time of the players that join the competition if a cut is revealed by a replay uploaded on the last day. 2. There should be a length limit of the maps. E.g. It's way harder to train 5 maps of 80 seconds than 5 maps of 40 seconds each. Out of experience, usually players are already feed up if you use more than 3 maps of length 50-70 seconds. You might be able to use more maps, but then they should be shorter. Keep in mind that the audience of your competition is already small due to the amount of players in valley. Don't overload them 3. Give each map that is used for the competition a tag. It's useful if you want to create further tournaments to help motivate new players for the future. E.g. Hey, you want to play in this nice competition? Check out the previous season maps to see if you like them. 4. I would also advertise it on the maniaplanet forum in the events section. 5. I'm thinking about joining in, but when does the competition is starting? In November or already end of the month?
