 MX Knockout Results
by   eyebo at 04 Mar, 2012
March 3, 2012 - 10:00 GMT
We started with 34 players. We played on KO1 maps.

:gold: Voyager006
:silver: Extreme (BX3)
:bronze: Marius89 (BX3)

March 3, 2012 - 22:00 GMT
We started with 40 players. We also played on the KO1 map pool. After two hours, we had our podium. Next time we have 40 players we will do MultiKO for the first 20 players so it won't take as long.

:gold: Behi (void/exD)
:silver: BooB (gamed!de)
:bronze: shaDow (Lik3D)
Did you know Mania Exchange hosts a weekly competition that anyone is welcome to play ?
Where over series of races last place is eliminated until only one remains as the winner !
If you haven't played the MX Weekly Knock Out before , come have a look.

We also need new tracks for this competition.
Everyone is encouraged to submit a track or two, or three.
February 25, 2012 - 10:00 GMT
We started with 22 players. We tried something new on KO2 tracks by having a timelimit of 1:40 instead of 1:30. Everyone seemed to like it and before long we had our results...

:gold: Pook (Demise)
:silver: RachoVolker (Linkin)
:bronze: danekb (STD)

February 25, 2012 - 22:00 GMT
We started with 35 players. KO2 maps were played.

:gold: Voyager006
:silver: shaDow (Lik3D)
:bronze: Marius89 (BX3)

If you have time to build and submit some tracks for the KO3 and KO4 map pools, it would be greatly appreciated! :) Here's a link to the KO Track Building thread with all the details you need.
There are some new screenshots on shootmania.com!

There's some news articles that came out today about ShootMania: Storm. Check the ShootMania topic to find a list of links to those articles, and then discuss the what you've read.
Nadeo have updated their Player Page and have completely overhauled the UI, making it look modern while preserving the simplicity and included ManiaHome.

You can experience the new Player Page here!

We started out with 20 plus players, but merely three can reach the podium. This week's winners for the ten o'clock MX Knockout are:

:gold: Marius89 (BX3)
:silver: Ricou (Viok)
:bronze: Laurens (amp)

Please join us in the evening for more fun. The MX knockout server is located in the UK.

We started with 32 players. NitroGuY guessed the password after he was KO'd and tried to rejoin illegally, but we forced him to spec, so it's all good. ;) During the warmup of the final, Marius and Behi decided to play a little hide and seek. But after two hours of fun, we had our podium:

:gold: Marius89 (BX3)
:silver: Behi (exD)
:bronze: Figos (BX3)
Alex KF (pod.Live) has created a new series for ManiaPlanet news.

Stay tuned for further episodes! :)
Regarding Shootmania, some news will come out tomorrow in Canard PC (a french magazine).

I would expect that all the details will appear in the thread below...

Our Shootmania forum topic
10:00 GMT - 24 starters
:gold: Voyager006
:silver: Extreme
:bronze: Cake

22:00 GMT - 33 starters
We actually started with 39, but due to some lag with the server controller, everyone got KO'd early and we had to start again with 33 people, instead of 39. The Knockout continued with no further problems... and then we had our results...
:gold: Haenry
:silver: Voyager006
:bronze: oNio
If you see online records on your tracks disappearing, it's because ManiaRecords, TM2's first online record system, has been taken offline for good. In the words of the ManiaRecords developers:

jimpower says:
ManiaRecords was always an interim solution until Dedimania came to TM2. That's why we disable our service now - More than 1 WR-Database does not make sense. Thanks to everyone who spent time on coding and maintaining the Database - Especially uBm and undef.de.

Thanks guys! You provided a valuable service for online players and the MX community as well!

Even though ManiaRecords is gone, we still have Dedimania. For now, if you want to see the online records on tracks, you can click on the "Dedimania" link below the records box on a track page. You are also welcome to donate to dedimania if you'd like to see the global record service continue to operate and grow in the coming months and years. It's community built and run, just like MX.
