If you're looking for a different kind of racing, more oriented toward
simulation racing instead of arcade gaming, you'd rather check out these tracks.
In respect to most of the quick tracks on this site, where you usually play 30 minutes for each track re-spawning hundreds of times till you get a good finish, with these tracks you'll probably play 15 minutes each, completing the track every attempt that you do, 3 to 5 times in a quarter of an hour.
As a matter of facts, they're quite long, 3 to 6 minutes, and it's the kind of tracks where if you bump against the guard-rail or brake too early, you simply go on till the end of the track, instead of re-spawning every time.
That means that if you are a good driver, you'll get a nice time at the first trial!
Then, you'll have the fun of racing against your own ghost time to improve it: just try it! You'll be passing your ghost car, and also be passed by your ghost car
several times for each race!
In these tracks there is no 'luck' factor, and also the knowledge of the track is not so important.
The key to win on these tracks is 'take it easy': slow down and try to drive clean, try to avoid touching the street borders too often, then the average driving quality throughout the entire track will give you a good finish time.
All of the tracks have a work of ManiaTracker on the after-race replay, with nice positions for the cameras in order to let you enjoy watching your replays. What I always do is to save
every attempt that I do (including the most spectacular crashes), then load
all of the replays in the editor and watch the fun of 10 or 100 cars racing in the same track. Epic!!
And: all of the "Author's times" are my third or fourth attempt, so they should be rather easy to beat!
If you don't like my first track "
Avalanche" (because of the difficult double loop at the beginning, or because the checkpoints are far away one each other), make sure to try my other tracks too, which are probably easier!
If you like it quick, try the 3 minutes "
Denver" race (letting it download the Snow Mod - it's very worth it!).
If you are a real-life motorcycle offroad racer, you'll love the long "
Enduro".
And if you are into huge stunt jumps across the canyons, try "
Colorado".
Oh well, try them'all!!
Please upload your replay, I enjoy a lot watching people racing on the virtual worlds that I create!
When there will be enough replays for each track, I'll make videos for YouTube showing the cars racing all together, like I did with my 106 attempts on Nadeo's black track E04, when I finally won my 260th (and last) campaign medal!
(Here's the link:
Merciless Onslaught on E04!!)
And here are the first 4 tracks that I built, have fun!!
