You couldn't terraform past level one, so only rally tracks or stadium tracks could have any kind of terraforming back then. Asides from the obvious in the TMS envis. I think nobody actually terraformed so it might have been forbidden.
Anyways, take a look at Tuta's "Anklebiter" (Rally, speedy and transitional tho) and see the theme by yourselves.
