Really looking forward for this tool. :build:
There are so many things in the editor that pisses me off one time after another... blocks which seamlessly fit, but the editor can not place. Thumb up because someone wants to spend time on making a new BlockMix tool. (y)

I have always been interested in how to blockmix but after a few hours in TMNF of working out how to use ChallengeEdit i gave up.. Can't wait to try this out.

There was one called TM Unlimiter. Pretty much it was a tool to block mix within the game. Or better putting it, a track editor without restrictions.

BTW in case you're an idiot (like me) make sure to type the whole filename including ".map.gbx" at the end. ;)

Any new word on your tool? I'm currently working on an RPG map and something has gone wrong and I was hoping to hex edit to fix the problem, but deleting the problem bit of track now causes TM2 to crash when I try to open my track. :(

Do I have to recompress the track after hex editing? The tutorials are clear for mixing blocks together, but what if you want to unmix them?!

Just use the TM2-Unlimiter, there you can blockmix in the game :p

If its still worth mentioning, the way challenge edit works i believe from experience using it is you need to have it running in the background before loading a map to get the correct block order (maybe it was the version i had?). Otherwise you could be wasting time looking for the block you want :-w

ie;
Place the block you want to merge with (usually you would set the block legitimately around the block where you want to merge with in the track editor) where it’s allowed. In this example i'll use above. Save track then count how many places down to the point where you want to merge by using the scroll. Load the map in challenge edit. The last block you placed will be at the bottom of the list.

Fix the XYZ axis (forget which one is up/down) to lower/move the block by how many places you counted. click "save block modifications to memory" before saving track.

Yeah i used this a few months ago and i love it. Because it's so simple and easy to use, it is a very handy tool to have because creating new transitions is much easier :)

Boju: Thanks for the explanation :) I don't use that anymore as I use arc's TMUnlimiter. But it's very rare that i blockmi in TM1 anyway.
