This is my entry for the MTC March 2017 - Get Me Out!. The task was to fit a track in a box with a maximum size of 15x15x15 - I opted for a 15x14x13 box - with the finish facing the outside or even being outside of the box. The 15³ box might be bigger than you would think at first, but it gets quite hard really quickly, when you try creating a fullspeed track in Canyon or Valley, as you cannot do wallrides (it technically is possible but just feels wrong as the wallride physics in both Canyon and Valley are really bad) or use loops to turn the car around in a tiny amount of space. After some fiddling around I was able to build quite a flowy fullspeeder with my standard track length of approx. 35s - more would not have been possible without making the map extremely challenging. Instead the track just has a semi-challenging first half and a rather easy second half except for one transition. Furthermore I tried to create a scenery which conceals the fact, that the track is built inside a box and still hides the view outside of the box in most cases - a big open area at the drop after the second checkpoint being the necessary exception to the rule. The idea behind that is for the player to feel "locked in" (hence the name of the map).

Driving Tips
The track can be driven without releasing the acceleration key at all but it is easier to get good times if you release a tiny bit after the first drop and if you do a quick braketrick at the point where you change the direction you're turning in at the ramps between the first and second checkpoint. Besides that, you can drive most turns on a keyboard without having to release the turning key which means that it is relatively easy to drive with a keyboard :)
It should be possible for most people to get to 35.xxx and maybe up to 36.8xx but after that it gets really hard to improve the time further in my opinion. One tip for that case: The way with which you archieve the fastest speed at one point is often not the one which helps you get the best overall time, so try out some things ;)

Enjoy! (y)
