Hey guys! This time I have a TMX moderator, stadium addict and helping hand, the mighty mr.hubby! You can find more infomation about the project here. Soo let's start! -- 1. Could you tell us something about yourself? Well, my real name is Lukas Huppertz. You may notice now where my nickname comes from. I live nearby Munich, Germany. Im 19 years old and about to finish school. I actually don't have a real hobby like a specific sport but I really like to search/listen to indie-/folkrock music. Oh and I do like to run my photoblog. 2. How did you find TrackMania? When it happened? It must have been around September 2007, I was at a friends house and he already knew the game and was very good at it. I drove a few runs and failed badly but you see it was able to addict me, hehe. 3. How often and where do you play? It depends on my creativity, self-esteem and patience. Top days can be up to 5-6 hours a day when Im bored or motivated, f.e. last sunday I played about 6 hours at the easter challenge on roseserver in trackmania nations. If im your ingame-buddy, I'll mainly be 'connected' since I mostly build or drive tmx tracks offline. If you find me online, I either have followed a friend of mine or in the evenings I can also be on roseserver. 4. I see you have reached the moderator level in tmx. How did that happen? It happened a few months ago when I recieved a private message from Petey. I opened it and it felt like one of those fun boxes where something jumps out when you open it. In my case it contained a available appointment as temporarily moderator. I think I've been a candidate due to my friendly and reliable appearance/behaviour and involvement in discussions over the past 3 years. 5. You have been known as creative and liked trackbuilder in tmx for years. How do you build your maps? Well, first of all, I hadn't really been creative the first 2 years. I started as a botw-slave, then turned on to build what I like and now the past year I tried combine my beloved simple tech style with some concept or an background idea to challenge myself. Besides, I mainly build teh scenery afterwards but I have also trackstarts with only scenery and the track should follow then. I think it is a matter of taste and if you are part of the botw-slavery or not. 6. You have build both dirt & asphalt maps, but which kind of maps are you favorite? I started my TMN-career on turbo_lol_server and I look back I just have to laugh. R4a Beginner was my first server I'd played in TMNF. Yet I've been also playing a lot on dirt servers back then and after the first Dirtmasters, I joined nwt. However, I still loved tech as much as dirt and the balance does exist until today. Also, I enjoy driving fullspeed these days. So, I actually don't have a favourite. 7. What is the most important thing in a track? FUN, FUN, FUN, Fun, Fun Fun, fun, fun, fun – If a track catches my attention even if it's only for 5mins I like it. Of course, the difference on how much I like it can easily differ. Mainly the composition makes it all. 8. What is your favorite track right now? Why? I can't tell you one favourite track but I can tell you the last few tracks which really addicted me. I loved „liberi fatali“ by Gizmo since it is just can awesome feeling sliding through these blueground corners which max. speed. I've also loved „Cold Times...“ by Arzar.xT due to it's simple but damn well flowing slide-adventure. In the end, it's rewiind's „Exosphere“ which is just a perfect composition of nations-blocks and a little reminder of the previous years, yet I actually prefer the nations-version of the track called „Rewiind says Hello 2010“. I won't share any links since I'm not up for track-spam. 9. If you want to share some underrated map, do it here. Why do you like this map? I will also not share a link and it's rather author but I'll showcase one track of him. It's „Perfume“ by Kheb. I personally think this author is pretty underrated since he has skill, builds fun track but doesn't get any attention. The track is a well flowing tech track with some rather tricky slides and a challenging and speedy second half is much fun to hunt! However, I cant showcase it on frontpage since it doesnt match the guidelines, especially it doesn't have a screen. 10. I think you are an idol for many people here but do you have own mapping or driving idols? Oh, I have a lot of mapping idols and my cousin, YDK.Air is probably my driving idol. On the one hand, I fancy my both teachers cranberries and Optimusje for they way of building and teaching me all these things and on the other hand, I fancy complete mappers like matto but also perfectionists like SapphiroN, unique builders like Sparco or Hammer and in the end I deeply admire rewiind, F2theG and Bajs. I know, it's a long list but all of these builders inspiring me. 11. Do you own TM2 Canyon? NO NO NO 12. I checked TM-Ladder.com and noticed that you have't played much TMU environments. Why? Im just a die-hard stadium and I've barely even tried to drive the other United evironments yet I had loved to play on Mistral World Selection the past years. 13. Why is your nick mr.hubby? I think you are too young to be really a hubby? To be honest, I've noticed only a few months ago that hubby is the acronym for husband, haha. As I mentioned earlier my name nicknames comes from my last name in real life. The modification to mr.hubby was needed since there already is another hubby on tmx who joined the community far earlier and thus the right to use this name. Also, my previous nickname hubaner was a nickname from real life. 14. Your top 3 websites, games, songs and movies. Websites: 1. tumblr.com 2. youtube.com 3. imdb.com Games: 1. trackmania nations 2. trackmania nations forever 3. portal/Cod1,2,4/Counterstrike Songs: 1. Loneliness is better when you're not alone by Hello Saferide 2. Right away, Great Captain by Right Away, Great Captain 3. Skinny Love by Bon Iver Movies: 1. Watchmen 2. Sucker Punch 3. love exposure by Sion Sono 15. What's your idea of perfect vacation? No idea. I've never been a real vacation person but with a whole life upcoming after school, I have the feeling to travel the world. Yet I don't think there is a perfect vacations since everyone is different. 16. Describe you with four adjectives. funny, friendly, reliable, „smart-assed“ 17. If you have something else to say, please write it here. YOLOUYAC! Greetings from Bavaria, mr.hubby Thanks a lot mister, I would add you on my mapping idol list hehe See you next time with new guy! |
