Brightness
Yo guys.
I think i saw a similar track some days ago, cant find it tho, so ima ask anyways:

Is there some way to adjust the brightness properly; or maybe the way shadows are computed/displayed?

i find it kinda hard driving at 2 parts mostly: leaving the tunnel to wallride sometimes is way too bright, cant even see the road anymore and time the drift;
2nd part would be if you drive under some road-piece (bridge-like) where it is too dark to make out corners to exit/enter drifts.

Are my settings fucked up, is this gonna be worked on til release or is it just the way it is? :)

There's an option in the MT to force carlights on. I just wish people will learn to use it at dark places.

Also, I think that the level of shadows depends on the quality the author chose. If the author computed shadows on "high", you will see high quality shadows. The bloom after the tunnel isn't really a "bug", it's just realism. If the author puts a curve too close to tunnel exit... well, it's his fault :p

In the end it's about map design.

Sure Ville, but as track builder I want freedom. :p This whole game is not about reality and not seeing anything at a tunnel exit isn't really realistic either. ^^
I also find it a bit too extreme. It looks nice but is distracting.
I'd prefer it a bit milder.
..wasn't me

I think you can fix the Jesus-tunnel-exit light just by disabling bloom in the in-game settings menu ^^

This is one of the many places where TM2 takes control from the player in order to promote its own graphics. The game does that a lot. (See also: unnecessary but pretty looking obstacles on blocks)

Car lights in dark places are pretty much necessary.

Annoyingly, there is no HDR before shadows are computed, meaning when the builder validates the track all is fine and when you then try to drive it you get blinded in front of a corner. There's one track I raced online with some of those narrow dam-top gates after a tunnel and you simply could not see them so this was a nice luck-based obstacle.

You can set the brightness up in MT too! Choose "Tonemapping"
