Would it be possible to modify this and make it work in TMU? Would it be a lot of work? Or would it even be possible at all?

Everything is possible, but it's not possible using the way I approach it (using maniascript as maptype/plugin to detect changes etc).
It's easily portable to SM tho, obviously.
