Online Map Rating

Hey there,

got a little question about the Online Map Rating that can be viewed on every Map page on MX. I searched the forum but did not get any info on how it is implemented. Is this rating connected to a server plugin? Seems to me that the score is different from tm-karma.

Ah ok, so the online Map Rating is only related to the Playpal Servers.
I thought it was a parallel map rating system to karma.

It's not limited to PPO, any server could enable it for RASP karma (in PPO) for Xaseco2 with some small extension. In combination with TMKarma is also possible to some degree. ManiaControl also has it built-in by default. Or implementing it yourself is also possible ^_^.

Do other server use this rating or is it only on PPO?

Other servers do, on TM it's relatively uncommon though since most people use Xaseco2 without the modified plugin (although it's a bit hidden

) or expansion which as far as I know doesn't support it at all.
Smurfs servers are the largest within TM using it, anyway.
