Arkive says:
  • Tracks submitted within the deadline will have 24 hours after submissions close to make any last minute edits

Any examples of what is permitted as last minute edits? Edits that does not alter the route or the general feel of the map I guess? :p

Anything and everything is permitted, though builders do risk disqualification or point deductions if their map no longer conforms to the rules. I'll double check that any edited maps still conform to the rules.

in case i screwed up on the files, the two files are exactly the same map only that one was renamed to mtc because i forgot to add that.
(i have replaced the non original with the original but the original file does not have mtc in it, its only called mtc on this forum, or at least i Think thats how it turned out lol).

Finally got the track finished! I am such a bad procrastinator :d

Also a proof image that the original United track is nearly as old as i say it is in the description (I have gone through 2 PCs since i first made the track in United and the TM2 remake/remaster, which explains the date modified date being 2013 rather than 2011, and back when it was called Mountain Medley):

Submissions are now closed! All participants have 24 hours from the time this message is posted to make any last minute edits you might have to your map. No more maps may be submitted. I'll have the voting sheet prepared sometime tomorrow.

I do hope that someone other than myself will vote this time. I don't know why, but a few times... I've been the only one to vote on the MTC stuff. And this time, I'm not even taking part in the contest, which could mean that if it happens again, and I stick to how I normally score maps (by using the official ranking system then converting it to a 10-point scale)...

January 2020 Public Voting Link: https://forms.gle/ZwTjefM56ozRfJ2d8

This month there's 14 maps (28, if you count their source maps too)! Download them here.

In the voting sheet, give your score before your feedback (0 to 10, decimals are allowed). If you have comments, leave them right after your score. For example:

8.3 - You made the route great, but the scenery still felt bland.
  • Everyone is allowed to judge, even players who submitted a map (your score on your own map will be removed, so give it whatever you want!)
  • Every map will be judged with a decimal number from 0 (bad) to 10 (good). All votes greater than/equal to 7 or less than/equal to 4 require constructive feedback on why you gave it that score
  • Note that you have to judge a stage entirely! You cannot judge only half of it. If you are not able to finish the map, your vote can still count! Please only leave that as a very last resort, and still judge the entire map fairly
  • You need to verify your vote by making a post here (for example: "Voted :done:")
  • One best and one worst vote for each map will be ignored if more than 10 people vote
  • The overall score will be a mixture of the average public score and the average internal score
  • The mixture will be 75/25 between internal judging and public voting if there is 1 public voter, 60/40 for 2, and 50/50 for 3+
  • You must be able to play and vote on all maps for your votes to count

A panel of judges will also judge the maps.
This internal voting will follow the format of:
Theme (20p) | Creativity (10p) | Fun (10p) | Detail (10p)

All public voting will soft close on February 10th, 2020 at midnight EST. After that, you may still vote until the internal judges complete their voting.

Voyager006 floats to the top! :gold:

  • Just overall a perfect map for me. - Clearvision
  • Whatever complaints I would have had about the original course have been dealt with handily in the remaster. - Arkive
  • Incredible map, very fun to play/hunt... - eFFecT

Snake55wildcat tumbles into second! :silver:

  • The re-uses, the flow, new route towards the end, everything blends
    together into a memorable multilapper.
    - Voyager006
  • I like to the concept of driving on snowy roofs - eFFecT
  • I don't feel like there are any weak spots to this course... - Arkive

Tona.nc drifts into third! :bronze:

  • Just wow, amazed by all the changes compared to the original - eFFecT
  • Great upgrade on an already solid map. The scenery improved and so did the racing. - Clearvision
  • The original one was pretty good but this revision makes it even better. - Voyager006

Congratulations to our winners!

Fun Fact: The top 3 maps this month also happen to be the only maps with 10 or more awards at the time of writing.

Each winner gets a news showcase of their choice for placing in the top 3.

Here's the link to the full results sheet.

Thanks to all participants this month for joining in the contest, thanks to all those who publicly voted and gave their feedback.

Sorry it took so long to get these results out, I'll try to be a bit more prompt for February's! In the meantime, stay tuned! The March MTC should be announced within a day or so.
