It's the first tech map I've made that has been selected to be a part of a big tournament and to have it be played in the final is really special to me. AngelThump
When I build maps I want them to be at least a little challenging and original and I'm also not a very big fan of all these new blocks that everyone REALLY likes to use. There are a few cases where the turns are pretty sweet but I like the old feeling from TMNF much more. So far I've only used one block and the main purpose is to prevent transition bugs like you'll see in this map.
I understand it has some flaws, like there's some borders you'd prefer to drive over to save some time with the risk of getting a slowdown or worse. The reason why I didn't adapt to them is because these bugs are fairly uncommon at least when I drive on this track and it's also not supposed to be like that. The developers just don't give a shit. I'd rather build a track exactly how I want it with the risk of getting a bug from time to time than just 100% adapt to something that shouldn't even be a problem in the first place. That's just how I feel from a building perspective.
If you're pissed I just want you to know that you should be mad at the people that chose it and not me for building it. 4Head
This one will probably be the most difficult map of the tournament so be sure to practice it a lot.
