MTC Hakuna Matata
Here is my puzzle map for this months MTC.
Theme of the map:
Checkpoints
So, I had the idea to make a compact puzzlemap.
It consists of a start, 6 CPs (2 non-respawnable) and one (far away) finish.
But the blocks to connect them, are mostly Checkpoints itself. That means by connecting the blocks, you produce more CPs to drive through. All of these CPs are a bit special though, as you can use them also in another way, where you don't pass the CP-line, so you can use the block twice maybe. Also, some CPs can be taken differently (jump through, side CP). You can also place nonrespawnale Wall-CPs. You can drive well on their top to connect platforms, but have to take the CP still, but you'll respawn somewhere else, which means you can place them tactical as well. Also there are 3 finishes to place. You need to chose wisely where, because this decides where you finish and how you use the other finishs in the route, as they have no connector on one side. One exception is a transition block that you can also use wisely for different purposes. A few EngineKillers can also be placed.
Already built in the map are a lot of Offroad things, like mountains around the track. You surely can use mountains to reach CPs. Also, there are 3 tubes in the mountains, that can catapult you to different places, but they are not easy to reach, so it is questionable if it is senseful to use them. Additionally, there are many preplaced blocks already, which you can use on different ways. All of these blocks can have different fuctions. A pipe above the track can alo be used for the trial guys to connect CPs.
List of blocks:
GP-CP plan
GP-CP uphill
GP-CP banked
GP-EngineKiller banked
GP-Finish
Platform-CP-uphill
Platform-CP-banked
Platform-Finish
Wall-CP vertical
Wall-CP horizontal
PlatformTunnel CP full
PlatformTunnel CP little
Tube-Enginekiller
Street-CP
Street-Finish
Street-to-PlatformTunnel Transition
I'm really curious, what will be the best route in the end, and how creative those CPs can get connected.
Good Luck & Have Fun!
