I created this track for the October 2011 MTC (monthly track contest).
The theme involved changing the surface you're driving on at least every five seconds. One of the easiest ways to break things up (other than, obviously, just changing the road) was to interrupt the player's contact with the road with a jump or short hop whenever it was needed, and when changing the road surface seemed a bit too contrived.
I made this map in one sitting, during a charity event (play games for 24 hours straight) for children's hospitals. It took about 16 hours, and involved a lot of false starts, and struggling with the limitations.
