Updated in 2020: After replaying my older maps out of pure nostalgia, I realised this track could be a fun sub-1-minute track. The racing lines weren't that bad, the drifts are simple and easy, and the unsmooth GP clip into drift jump is still surprisingly okay.
As this track was the worst of the "TableTop" series (
map 2 and
map 3) of tracks I built super randomly as a child, I don't mind updating it without using blockmix. It also didn't have any times on any leaderboards, unlike the other two maps, so that's also a reason for updating.
I added more Checkpoints where needed and possible to place. I also featured my often used and infamous freewheeling-checkpoint combo of blocks - all three of them fit in perfectly, when compared to the original track (as in the original there were two roadpieces that I could replace with this combo immediately) to also make the pacing a little bit more modern.
I added some red platform corner blocks, and instead of the old platform-jump-to-GP, I made it a smooth road transition instead, which makes for cool drifts, and doesn't break the flow too much. Rest of the map is unchanged to the original!
You don't miss much by not playing the original, there's plenty other beginner maps on this site.
