Dhenh2

This is a map Racho and me have been working on this last couple weeks. It is actually our first duo map, but when there's one there might be more (given time)...

The name Dhenh2 comes from the Vedic water godess "Danu", whose name is derived from the Proto-Indo-European root *dhenh2- "to run, to flow" which fits well with the track since you either like the flow, or you'll just run away. Having a 2 in the trackname of a Duo map is also a bit like a cherry on top. So there's that.
Racho would like to pretend that he knew all that stuff by heart, but let me tell you the truth that he got sucked into the wiki-hole after stumbling about the Tribe of Dana. Well.. ok... actually he only remmebered an old french song "la tribu de dana" which led to all this mess, but hey... we shouldn't blame anyone for being curious and using this knowledge for stuff that actually counts! (like tracknames...)
There's also a nice connection of dhenh2/Dana/Danu -> Danube, the almighty flowing river. Anyway, I'm mostly writing this stuff because short track descriptions are boring and this is still somehow slightly related to the track.

If you want some informations about the track and haven't given up reading, you can count yourself lucky, because that stuff will follow soon.

I mentioned above the Vedic water godess and didn't explain what Vedic actually means... truth be told, Racho is still not sure yet because he's still stuck in that hole, but he tells me not to worry. So far he told me, that the Vedas (veda = knowledge) are a large body of knowledge texts from the ancient Indian subcontinent and they are considered "not of a man, superhuman". If we were full of ourselfs, we could draw a connection to us might trackbuilders, but let's refrain from that.
The track itself is a fun flowing boost-less, yet fast-ish Canyon speedtech track or standard Race track (whatever you might call it today) that'll send you on a journey involving no-drifts, wider drifts, some drops, jumps, and transitions. It's about 45s long, but sub44 might be possible. You'll find a demo run by driving backwards at the start should you feel the need to get some tips beating the AT or you're just bored and don't want to drive anymore. We think the track should be fun to hunt offline aswell as online in TimeAttack aswell as in Rounds!
