The challenge of the May 2018 MTC was one of reuse--you had to cross the same block at least three times during the course of the race. That challenge actually ended up being more difficult than I expected, only because I kept being dissatisfied with my attempts. This is the fourth effort, and I started by trying to make all the different circuits drivable in any order, and from any direction. It sort of worked...except there was a very obvious "fastest way", so I then started spinning off variant connections, depending on which way you chose to progress from the center.
The result ended up surprisingly large and complicated...but still drivable in well under 1:30, since red boosters tend to speed things up.
The track is ultimately fairly simple in scope, with only 4 CPs to reach, but there are 30 different competitive routes to choose from, varying by order and direction from the center. It's also not really that difficult, once you get used to the speed, since that Lagoon car is amazingly grippy! The track also includes intro, replay cams, and GPS (sort of).
Special thanks to xrayjay for the wealth of excellent track objects, especially the flat-to-bank concrete bits and the awesome booster arrows which can be placed anywhere--this track wouldn't have been remotely as good without them! Additional thanks to TGYoshi for the cool banked concrete curve!
I look forward to seeing replays on this one, and any feedback is always appreciated!
