Im not entirely sure if this would be a rather trivial question to answer, but lets say, a block takes up two tiles (that is driven on in two different ways), does that count as 2 duality tiles or just one because it is a single block covering that space?

Tiles that the car TOUCHES count. So, if you drive through/on both tiles/cubes of that block, both count. If you only touch or drive through one of them, only 1 counts. Please keep in mind you have to drive on/through that tile TWICE (= "duality") for it to count.

Thank you very much for the clarification, much appreciated! (y)
It's definitely an interesting theme where you really have to think of a good compact track.

Interesting theme. I just finished mine today :) In the intro I showed 10 definite "duality" parts, but after reading comments I think there are almost 15 ;) The definite ones are pretty similar, but if you count some of the extras its actually pretty spread out. I just hope the judges take a look at more than just the ones I showed (y)

Just to get this clear. You have to touch a tile 2 or a block 2 times?
Example
Would the example work or not?

EDIT:
Example2
In this example the blue line crosses the red one, without touching the block the red one uses but jumping through the same tile. Seperation of parts is given through different surfaces (nothing and road).
Allowed?
I know I am getting a bit picky but I am just curious :p

Note:
I think you should state the deadline of the contest using UTC and not Pacific time.

Example 1 is OK. Those are two very distinct surfaces of the same block and the car touches both.

Example 2 is NOT OK -- there is no contact of the car with the same block on the blue line.

Ok thanks for the quick answer. That means it is about blocks and not about tiles :)

I reuse the same blockpiece in the same manneer on 2 locations, i assume that counts as 1?

i also use one block 3 times, would that counter it out? alcatarpls?
