New To Mapping and Confused about using Signs
I have uploaded an unreleased map called "Formula Style Road Course." I am working on improving it so I can release it. I am having trouble figuring out how to add the arrow signs I see on other tracks. I have read the different posts on doing stuff like this but seem to be doing something wrong.

I can't find ANY arrows signs in the Track Maker. In fact, it tells me there are no objects at all. I downloaded the file "MX_TM_Signs2" from here. I put it in the C:.....\Documents\ManiaPlanet\Skins\Any\Advertisement folder.

After trying to figure out what I am doing wrong, I decided to ask here. I have added some scenery to the track with an update. Maybe someone could help me add some arrow signs, especially at the hairpin. Or at least teach me what I am doing wrong.

did you unzip the file? and signs are not objects, they are just particular blocks, on which you can place signs with paint bucket tool.

In the track editor:
- place a sign
- click the icon that is supposed to look like a bucket with some paint spilling over the edge
- now the signs (and some other blocks) are highlighted with green lines
- click on a sign and you get a menu with different fillings for the sign (including arrows)

Thanks for the help so far.

It seems there are only a couple of blocks that I can add a sign to. I cannot get "StadiumInflatableAdvert" to locate anywhere. I also cant seem to get pillars correctly underneath "StadiumFabricPillarAirScreen." It also seems that I can't change "StadiumCircuitBorderStraight" to one of the signs.

I'm confused, more than that, I am frustrated because I can't find a decent explanation anywhere how the different "scenic blocks" can be used and modified. Did I miss the "Scenic Blocks for Dummies" tutorial somewhere?

can you post screens of the blocks you're talking about, or their numbers in X-X-X format (folder numbers, TM community mainly uses them instead of names)?

Sorry, that's another lesson learned. I think I have finally figured some things out for myself. I downloaded a couple of the Nadeo solo play tracks and played with them in the editor, trying to figure out how some things were done. I think I have it figured out.

I can use 8-5-4 along with 8-3-2 and 8-4-2 and have the sign hang out over the track. =p Thanks for the patience with a noobie. I want to learn, and then contribute to the community.
