Everybody started as an unknown person, just by the way ;)

Ganja made Tiger Blood during closed beta while everyone else was staring at screenshots. :$ By the time other people learned how to make tracks like that, the front page is already swamped with tracks.

PPO is a great solution, and imo it should be an easily accessible option when creating a server in TM2. We need more like it!

it doesnt matter when GR made his track....
GR is one of the guys wich are on TM since it's beginning (or even close to it)
He made his name weight long time ago (when the most of the community didnt even know that TM exists), the same way like everyone...with building tracks.

Well personally I feel there are just too many tracks submitted. It's like you upload your track and an hour later you are on page 3, because someone posted 20 tracks all a once.

Well this is just my thought and most of you won't like it, but I say limit any author to only be able to upload say 1 track a day. This will also make authors spend more time on tracks and the quality will improve.

Just a thought :$

There is only 1 new track per author in the list of newest tracks. No matter how many he uploaded at once.
At least that's how it's supposed to be.

Yes that works quite well, but still I still feel that some authors make 10 or more tracks a day and maybe 1 of them is actually drivable and nice. What I'm coming down to is trying to get authors to spend more time on tracks and then only submit them when they feel it's worthwhile. I would even go as far as a 3 track restriction per week.

Currently there is no way I can even test and enjoy 10% of the tracks submitted each day. So in essence lots of good tracks just slip past me and most 'not-so-well-known' authors never get their tracks tested and awarded....

Hope I made sense and yes, most of you will probably not agree with me :p

That was how it worked on TmX a long time ago. Same thing for BOTW and Latsest awarded lists, but much more could be done.

Welcome to the club Windows ! :)

I'm feeling p pretty much like u actually. I've been in this community since Q1 2006 or something like that. I've created mods, a few skins, and tracks obviously. And look : spent hours making a track, focusing on the objective to make it easy and funny, to be original and all, and it remained like 3 hours on the home page before being totally forgotten, probably for ever.

The way TMX works makes the "famous" authors become more and more famous, and lets the less knowns authors like us in oblivion...

Take the famous "Tiger Blood" track for exemple. Of course this is a nice track ! It is funny, easy, and good for online. But in what way is it 50 times better than some other maps we can find on TMX ? This track was probably download 1000 times by now. Does it still need to be on the homepage ? Shouldn't this track leave it's slot to other tracks ? This is totally ridiculous.

Definitely agree with that. Been part of the community for over 5 years, had some tracks with over 20+ awards but the last 2 years have been rubbish with those transation tracks and these >> things in their name. They got a lot of awards. Sometimes the track didn't deserve half of there +20 awards. I dunno what happened but its pretty bad.

movo, what you're saying is pure non sense. 1/2 of the people who haven't got a lot of awards find that as an escuse ...
"The others have alot of awards, but they don't deserve it. Mine deserve them more."

Awarding is when you like a map. How can you judge if a map deserve the awards or not? Are you so stupid and close-minded, that you can't understand a map can be liked by a lot of people, while you don't?

Come back in TM when you know the definition of opinion, not before. Thanks!

This is really pissing me of. and why did you decide this "+20" was a senseful limit, which mean if the track is good or not?

Cry me a river mate, but i'm not saying that. I just think that some tracks are overrated because of the author's name.

By playing a track I can judge the track, good thinking mate. I'm definitely not close-minded. I think you are for not accepting my opinion.

This is my opinion, if you don't like it then write your own little opinion and respect others' which I do.

not?

I call that 'senseful' limit an example. :) And don't go apeshit, it's just a game..

Anyways, I'm going back to TM2 making more crappy tracks now! :d
