Adding lights to items

Hi all

I am currently messing with the item editor to add light to the sound system block (8-5-8). I managed to set up the material of the faces I wanted to be lit to the StadiumSpotOn material, but when computing shadows, no light is generated from these faces. Any idea what I need to do to achieve that?

lights are seperat objects, which cant be made with meshmodeller or sth else ingame
you need to use another software like blender
