Same here. My graphics card (in a desktop system) gets hot very fast. Looks like the outstanding graphics engine tortures the GPU a lot...

I have the same issue with my PC getting hot on any settings, the fan is often running as fast as it will go.

I tried it on a different PC which has a 2.3 ghz quad-core (compared to the 2.2ghz dual-core in my PC) and the game ran at nearly the same speed, but was never running the computer hot, and could load things in the game way faster.

My guess is with single and dual-core processors my PC iis trying to run TM2 as fast as possible while also trying to run things in the background. Perhaps with more cores the work is spread out better?

It depends. Windows processes are running on all cores by default, but there's possibility to select core(s) you want to use via task manager (Processes -> right-click on process-> and I don't know how this function is called in English ).

I'm an old coaster with keyboard, Canyon is not my style of driving too fast and too much drift. Few years to improve my skill coast, looking for a way to eliminate the damn drift. This style speed - Fullspeed, seems an evolution of Island - Stadium - Bay, far away from the "Coast Feeling." The graphics of the game is wonderful (with a very powerful PC, how many players can play with the graphics settings to the max?), But perhaps the scenery (the blocks are different) is too similar to the old desert, I would have preferred a "location" completely new. MT to be discovered, but I saw some good implementations. In a few years, with the release of new environments, we know what is TM2, if it will repeat the success of TM1.
Surely, I will continue to try Canyon, but I do not want to leave my beloved Coast with its sea and its trees, its houses, there is my home.

Also a very very old kb coaster speaking here!
My laptop can run TM² on max settings.... and you just have to get used to Canyon. I love it!

well = i was not going to bother but i just have to pass on my opinion ( unwanted thought it may be)..

I think canyon is absolute rubbish = probably the worst of all the environments tm have created.... i just hope that they manage to redeem themselves with the future release of valley or other enviros...

hmmmm = seems my computer was not running the game very well...

in light of correct operation i have changed my mind and am quite enjoying the drifting and drifting..
