MTC - Malacca
This is a revision of the first
proper map I made in TM2, Malacca. As outstanding I thought it was back then, it may seem a bit lackluster in 2020 so I thought about giving it a revival for this MTC.
Funnily enough, the initial, unreleased version of Malacca was deep in the canyon because that was the only place where you had water back then. Then ManiaPlanet 3 came and introduced water at the ground level, which fit perfectly for this concept. Then we got ManiaPlanet 4 with its mesh modeler. Inspired by one of
Julius's base maps, I created a new base for the map, filled by an ocean across the canyon.
This revision comes with a few adjustments, mostly to make the route smoother but also simpler and easier. These changes don't affect the route too much, keeping the spirit of the original map. Now the floating sign at the diagonal jump is finally anchored to a wall and there is also a demo, which has bothered me ever since someone was looking for a demo and didn't find one when playing the map
