I spent the last 7 hours building this track

a Maniac who needs to sleep after working all night
. Hope you have fun playing the map... and I hope the dream(ish) atmosphere gets you
As it is an MTC map it has been judged and the jury voted me on the second place
Here are their comments on my track:
I love how the whole map looks like it really is something out of a dream. Most of the deco and track is made of objects, which is what we aimed for. The line is good for hunting, although not too spectacular. On a normal race setting the feel is kinda weird because of the chaotic object mess that makes up the scenery in some places tho. But it's huge fun, and the car's actually in the ground during that entire track. Props for that. Great track. -

Good things: Rotating custom blocks in unusual angles I haven't seen much of, and you did it in a way that doesn't feel like it was done just to do it. Use of the relatively new option of the fog effect in MediaTracker was an interesting touch done well. I could easily see fog used in ways that are either not helpful (e.g. short fog distance to add fake difficulty) or not apparent (e.g. it's there, but you have to actually look for it to see it). The route is easy to follow, both in where to drive and how to drive. If there is one thing I'd say about the track, it's that the first turn where you go right bypassing a banked curve isn't obvious, as at first I instead took the banked curve. The only other thing is that there wasn't an intro or outro, but that's nicpicking to be honest. -

I love the start, as it feels super flowy. Else the route is good, except for the first left drift, which feels a bit weird. I like the idea of using objects as scenery, sadly there are some flickering blocks. Additionally, I'm not a huge fan of the fog effect, but a fan of so many cars in the GPS. The challenging factor for replay value is missing a bit, the route does only provie a little amount of action -

Cool atmosphere, using objects in a more unique way. Some ugly mixes. -

The smurfs must have given you some of their weed.. This track's design is nuts, and it even works! Nice atmospheric mt -

first of all thank you for your opinion and constructive critiscism .
now I feel free to comment on those opinions .
Osaka:
as you correctly noticed I aimed at the idea of the crazy-dreamish atmosphere for the entire map. the white fog is of course part of that. but the weird wild and crazy placed objects also
. The third part should've been the music which I'm not sure you've heard, because I've had some trouble with that. (but it seems to work on the servers now)
realspace:
Thanks for nice words, glad you like it
. I have to agree that the first corner doesn't seem to be obvious enough, but that's one of the main problems I have while mapping: I'm the author... I know where to go and how to drive certain things so it happens that parts I find easy are very hard for other players, just because they don't know the way to do it. In this case most people are not seeing it and this would probably include myself if I hadn't built it. I wanted to make an Intro and Outro... but I was sleepy and worked like 7 hours nonstop making that track
.
Haenry:
I also agree to this one.. the first left drift is not that easy.. but I noticed it pretty late and thought a bit of a challenge couldn't be too bad ^^. I'm not a that big fan of fogs either normally but it's just perfectly fitting to the theme of the map. I'd like to know where you've seen those flickering blocks. only things I noticed is the at the left side of the first CP - but that is really nadeos fault
- and the transition in the tunnel - but that isn't flickering, it's just that you can see a slightly bit of the wall of the one block, which has a different texture. If there's still something else what you were meaning with that please tell me and I will try to fix it.
TGYoshi:
Thanks to the first part. Well I guess you don't like that crazy, wild placed decoration. Valid opinion
.
gado:
Maybe you're right and I've spend too much time with the smurfs... or I should just spend even way more time with them
.
Conclusion:
I wasn't sure if people would like the track, maybe it was way too weird and crazy (don't you dare to look at me in my direction now
). I'm even more happy now that people do like the track. Next time I try to have less
extraordinary needs
.
Thanks for all the awards guys
