Hi all!
The PDT Team has allways wanted to use good tracks for it's PDT Canyon server. Not the most awarded tracks on MX, but those which have the best Karma and fit perfectly with our server's spirit. So we have decided to reward builders who produce good tracks for us, respecting the spirit of our server. That is the PDT Trackmapping Contest. Each month, we will select some various MX tracks, and we'll use them for our PDT Canyon Server, during this month, the tracks which earn the most votes and the best karma online will be rewarded, it's author will receive 1000 planets!! And we will do that each month, the value of the track will only depend of the number of votes, and of course the value of those votes. So, for players, don't forget to vote for tracks when playing online in our server, and for builders, remember that this contest is reset every month and you'll still have a chance on the next time! Remember that our server is a Round mode one, so builders have to respect some rules to find their tracks on it, there are those rules: -No LOL tracks and hasardeous parts on the track. -No FullSpeed tracks, some part can be FS but not too much. -No RPG or Trial Tracks. -SpeedTech, Tech, Race and it's variations are of course allowed! -Time must be between 45 sec to 1 minute. -All Respawns must be working, as it's a Round mode. -Some Multilaps could be allowed, but only one lap will be used. -Imagination and fun is required! That's all folks! the contest has already started and the results for December would be soon published! Some further information will be send there, as the monthly results or more. Thanks a lot for reading, we wish you a merry christmas, and see you soon on the TM2 planet! (more details on PDT Forum (french) here: http://pilotes-de-trackmania.xooit.fr/index.php) |

Thanks Eyebo for forwarding this contest.
We have two ways to select maps for this one: -Our own choice, into the huge pool of MX site, respecting the requirements said before, we test them offline and post them in our forum (see the link on the top) -Direct submissions by mappers themselves, still respecting requirements, mappers have to send their tracks directly in our forum (see PDT Tyler's link) We apologize that our forum is in french language, we'll try to translate the most important things people must know about this contest. The most important is that if someone wants to submit a track, he'll have to post a message with: -Name of the Track -Author's name -Style of the track -Author's validation Time -MX ID (for tests and downloads) I hope I've correctly answered to your questions. See you soon! |

This is a really nice idea! And a great way to reward mappers who make really good maps suitable for online!
Are people allowed to submit maps for this contest or will you only select random maps? It seems funny to list the requirements if you're not allowing submissions. |
