Freeroam maps are rare in TrackMania, real-looking ones are even harder to find. This is one of the very few of this kind.
Building a map like this feels strange, playing too. It's not easy. TrackMania is mostly about, hm, TrackMania. Eventually all freeroam becomes a boring grid of straight roads that look all the same. The most expensive part, time-wise, was to give an identity to each part of the map. There's downtown, uptown, a gradual switch into a countryside scenery, even a sparse industrial sector.
I made realism a priority, but also tried to avoid corner overspeeding, endless straights and overflyings. The whole map will work well at speeds between 120-250km/h. I also kept dead-ends to a minimum to avoid frustration. Scoring at 30.000C this one of the largest maps on TrackMania and, obviously, unsuitable for Online servers.
No targets are set for this map. I left the map unpassworded so you can edit it as you please.
