 ESL Multienvironmentcup #1 - June 12th

With the release of ManiaPlanet 3 came the Multienvironment titlepack ("TrackMania 2"). ESL has now decided to try out the competitive-potentional of this pack by organizing a Multienvironmentcup this Thursday (June 12th) at 20:00 CEST!

Cupformat
You might know the ESL MX BotM cups, in which ESL uses the best Speedmaps of a month to host a cup with. The format of this Multienvironmentcup is based on those cups.
  • Everyone can join (after sign-up on the ESL page).
  • Checkout the maps, drive them, practice them.
  • Join the server before 20:00.
  • All three maps will be driven two times (6 minutes TimeAttack).
  • The best 4 players will play a Cupmode final to decide who wins the cup.
Titlepack?
In order to play multienvironment, you have to install the "TrackMania 2" title from the ManiaPlanet in-game store. You need to have all three games (Stadium, Canyon and Valley) installed, otherwise you won't be able to play this cup!

Mappack
This cup will be played on three maps (one Stadium, one Canyon and one Valley):
Stadium: Tech Nicker by RachoVolker
Canyon: Driftigh 1.1 by Blinnemans
Valley: Fuze by eyebo

With more players, they'll get more confinced of the possible competitive-potentional of Multienvironment!
This weekend we are looking to try Knockouts in the TM2 multi-environment title, the start times are as normal, but you need to find the knockout server in the TM2 station, and you need to own all three environments.

MX Knockout - TM2 Multi Env - 09:30 GMT = 10:30 UK = 11:30 CET
SmurfsCup - Canyon - 18:00 GMT = 19:00 UK = 20:00 CET
MX Knockout - TM2 Multi Env - 19:30 GMT = 20:30 UK = 21:30 CET
TMX Knockout - TMUnited - 21:30 GMT = 22:30 UK = 23:30 CET
ATTN: TMX Knockout in TMUnited is cancelled due to Nadeo's master servers being down

Just turn up on the server to join these events, but you need to be on time.

It's time to release!

If you launch your Maniaplanet, it will ask you for a first update of around 100MB. Then if you enter a station that is link to one environment, it will update the environment. Expect around 1GB for any, or 1.5GB for Storm.

It will update on Steam as well.

Another ESL MX BotM FullSpeed cup is coming up: it will be played on Sunday, April 27th at 19:00 CEST.

You can sign-up for this cup until Wednesday 13:00 CEST. After this time you will be send the password of the cupserver, where this cup will be played in the evening.

The cup is played in two phases, the first one is Time Attack and the second phase is in cupmode.

The cup will be played on the following maps:

Before a reminder of Saturdays events and start times, congratulation to the Smurfs for making this weekend the Smurfscup 100th Canyon Edition, its sure to be a real party this weekend!
