MP4 UPDATE: Recomputed shadows. Due to a mediatracker bug, the In-Game sequences had to be tweaked. While they are functionally the same, it did mean I needed to revalidate the map. No other changes were made.
Aside from the locals, nobody uses these roads anymore. Perfect for long road races.
Crafted in short bursts over the course of two months, this is my entry for the
Summer 2016 MTC! The restrictions were quite simple: make a non-lapped course at least four minutes and ten seconds in length. I feel like this is my most ambitious map yet; I may have made longer courses, but this one has a lot more thought put into every corner than those old ones. Beyond just the length, this was my first time extensively using items. Route, scenery, lighting, they're used for everything. Speaking of scenery, I tried hard to make the areas feel unique. Ideally, it will feel almost like an adventure (probably not as much as those crazy RPG maps, though).
Features
- ValleyCar on Canyon action!
- Ultra quality shadows!
- 2134 lights! By the way, it's not a sunset/night map.
- FULL mediatracker. Intro, outro, in-game (GPS and more), ambient, and even podium tracks are all present!
- Multiple GPS stops, in case you're halfway through and only want to see part of the GPS!
- 26716 coppers of scenery! You may want to turn your graphics down a bit for this one...
- Modified medal times!
- Areas with names!
- Really fancy cave segments!
- A simulated day/night cycle! (Okay, it's more of a day/foggy day cycle, but still...)
Good luck and have fun!
