Slowness after move...
Pages take noticeably longer to load than before the move.

Even before the move, pages didn't load instantly, like I'm used to on many sites, but now it sometimes feels like I'm on dialup.

Could it be that things are just busier after the outage?

I don't notice that much of a difference.

Possibly. But there was also lag on the KO server today at 22:00 GMT. Results were showing up later than usual, and a lot of people were mentioning it. Also, three or four people got disconnected during the match. One may have been the result of their router, but the others were due to server lag. This is unusual, as the last couple months of the KO at 22:00 GMT have seen very very few disconnects... and many matches have seen no one disconnect at all.

Can only see how it goes. Various things can be at play

First day online again can mean lots of people all wanting to do lots of things, plus lots of caching happening. If this was the cause then that will be nice as it will go away

We have moved from a hardware array of disks to a software mirror of 1 disk, this means access times for reading files (which we must do a lot of) is just slower.

Our CPU power is higher than before and our network capacity should be higher than before. RAM is the same.

Nice that this is someone from the team writes, I would have written it, it would once again not observed.
This is still the case, reload the page takes longer to download a track takes longer to upload a replay is relatively the same but wait until the editor is open longer.
All in all, it takes longer than before the move.

There are scheduled DB maintenance tasks which absolutely hammer the DB. One of which shouldn't actually be executed daily.

There's also a few memory leaks. I've addressed some of those leaks, but others I am having a difficult time tracking down. :s

So yes, [for some] the site will be slow. Will it ever speed up? Yes. And I'll make sure of that! ;)

Good to hear it's being worked on, not that I ever doubted it would be. ;)

The site feels a little snappier for me this morning, so it's getting there.
