I've heard rumors that the .bik format has returned to TrackMania. We used it in TrackMania United Forever to make animated signs.

Apparently we can do it again. This Beta2 update has added support for .bik (BINK) files, or so I'm told.

I haven't tested it yet though.

Anyone tried it?

i've found a temporary solution to fix the signs already.
All you need is your tmnforever install dir.

In that dir (not the my documents folder) go to Skins Any Advertisement and copy all contents

Now go to your maniaplanet directory (my documents folder) and paste all contents in Skins Any Advertisement

If the directory doesn't exist, just create it (case sensitive)

If you don't have tmnforever (or united forever) installed, just go here

hey eyebo, for now in the stadium2 beta i can confirm animated signs are BACK. The originals might be disabled or missing but I found maps that I converted to TM2 engine with custom Bik signs worked as long as they had good (working) locators.
