How can I convert a Platform track into a Race track?

Hello MX...I build a track in the Platform Editor and save it. After this I realize that I am a IDIOT, because my plan was building a Race track. I realize to late that I save it as a Platformer.

How could I convert this from Platform to Race? I will not use the Macroblocks Function because 50% of my blocks are lost if I try it, because of the Unlimiter .

Nadeo needs to give us the MapType script for the race mode. Until then, I'm not aware of any easy way to change a map over.

Is it not possible in a hex editor somehow? I know i've changed author times and stuff in those at least.

Maybe someone still knows how to use a hex editor can confirm/deny this? :) everyone just use unlimiter these days :d

you are not an idiot, i have done the same thing, building in wrong title ^^ =p
anyway its easy as 1, 2, and 3.

1. Just go in to canyon load your platform track.
2. Select the hammer and select top alternative "map type"
3. and click on race and normal and then ok, and its done ;)

SPIDER, a race maptype script is not there by default.

But I've learned of a way!

Create a blank text file called Race.Script.txt

Place it in Documents\ManiaPlanet\Scripts\MapType\TrackMania\

And do what SPIDER said. Load up the map, select the hammer, "Set map type", select Race. Close it out and save the map. It should now be a race map instead of platform.

I've tested it and it works.
