An idea i had would be to award the best newcomers to the site (driver and mapper), who joined last year

Would be cool, but I find the community too small for it, as despite combined amount of users is higher many play just certain environments.

I have similar thoughts as wormi. For such a big list you need a big community, too.

I suggest picking out the 10 coolest categories and then vote for these. With google forms that I already use for the MTCs it should be relatively easy to set up then.

+1 I think smaller is better with the community size If it's only 10 questions more people might actually vote too xD

If we cut out a few categories in the "Building" and "Creationary" section (preferably those focussing on rather unusual/unpopular building styles on MX, e.g. Best Trial Builder or Best Lol Builder), I think we have a fair amount of things to vote for.

Just make builder & driver sections like
tech
offroad
fullspeed
rpg
lol

without environments specified

or then with only envis
stadium
valley
canyon

or something

A completely useless idea.

Much work for the guy who build the evaluation, the analysis and the voting sheet.
In summary - what is the purpose of the list ?

Idd, it would be nice to read the finished voting but how to use it ?!
BUT - we all got our fav mappers and to find some nice maps we have the awards.
Instead of this - maybe people should remember this and should be forced to award maps
they like. Maybe It shouldn't be impossible to upload a replay without a complete
judgement ?!
In addition - this may force ppl to spend a little bit more work for their tracks.
Except LOL maps.

Maybe it's useful to add some categories while awarding a map.
Some points are named before.
Is there a nice custom intro, a GPS, a nice custom outro, custom music or
in general the whole MT work. These points should be used only with a simple
selection like:

o awesome
o not bad
o poor
o nothing

and these points should be also selectable for tracksearching.

tbh - mostIy, I exaggerate it with my maps and all the stuff is used around.
Nevertheless, I love it to build it and I think some ppl like the things I've done.
