So you do have to steer for the fastest line?
If yes, then it's correct ;)

What about parts where you are in the air but keep steering? To be more precise if I had the following track (the route is the exact route I take taken from the game):

The red marked parts are >180°-U-Turns and the yellow marked parts are <45°-S-Turns. The blue part is the part where you jump: The driver (me) lifts off (as the road is tilted there), keeps steering and lands while still steering. But although you would keep steering the car goes in a straight line - would that be ok or invalid?
And a little extension to the question: If I did some air control like steering against the turn in the air, would that be a violation aswell?

And I've got another question: What about people like me who have literally no experience in an environment (like me in stadium)? We might drive a bad route that is valid for the MTC but a more skilled tester would maybe drive a route which has <180°-U-Turns in it. What would you do about that?

If you have to steer to the right all the time in the blue area, it is okay. In the air you cannot force the car to go a turn. That's fine.

You shouldn't care about how good you drive, as long as you drive as good as you can. I cannot force you to drive super good ;)

To make it easier for you to understand what I mean, here's a quick video of how I would drive this track: https://www.dropbox.com/s/drmhwfmk2n2bel1/180%20Degrees%20202.avi?dl=0
As you may be able to see, in the jump I stop steering for a few milliseconds and then return to steering right. Would that be illegal?
But: It's possible to keep steering to the right as well although that makes driving the track a bit harder (unless you use a gamepad I would think). You can observe the same thing in the first U-Turn: I had to steer a bit to the right before doing the complete 180° but it would easily be possible to "fix" that by using a gamepad or taking a wider line. What would that change about the (il)legalness?

I mainly asked because people take routes differently depending on their skills and the fact if they use a keyboard or not: one might do a U-Turn while steering all the time (-> legal) - others might do the first half, brake, and then do the second half (-> illegal?)

That looks okay. With kb you need to tap in most turns in canyon and valley, so that's totally fine to do it in stadium, too. I use a gamepade, so I can steer only slightly

If other players fail to drive your route, it's okay. If you can manage that in a "legal" way, then other skilled players will be able to do so as well. There's always a possibility for an illegal route by simply driving as bad as you can. So as long as you can drive it in a good way, I will accept your map ;)

Do you have to drive straight to get into the wallride?
If yes, then that part is not one full turn. ;)

Hey, guys! Just passing by. For now … ;) (brb)
I've been busy doing college related stuff (yes, in January :( ), but I'm about to take a full break in about a week :d so I'll be able to get back in ManiaPlanet. Now that i see this topic, I thought of sharing something that may be related to (insanely) long turns:

Would this fit the theme, haenry? No, no, don't worry, I'm planning on building an actual submision for this month once I have the time ;)
