Happy new year and welcome to the ManiaExchange Monthly Track Contest (MTC), January 2016.
In the MTC your task is to build a track on a given theme (see below). Later on, all of the entered tracks will be rated and a winner will be found.
- Theme of the Month: U-Turn Drama
Due to New years eve your heads are still spinning, which causes you to drive weird turns of at least 180°.
Every turn you build must have a minimum bending of 180°. i.e. Every turn must be a U-turn or even more bend than a U-Turn.- Minimum Turn angle of 180° for every turn
- 180° wallrides and turnovers (half loop + half twist) are allowed
- A turn is one turn instead of two, if you can smoothly steer through it without releasing off the steering. (At best you imagine an analog input because on a keyboard you tap all the time)
- Very small chikanes/s-turns are okay. E.g. to go around a pillar that's in the middle of the road.
Let's say the turns have to be smaller than 45°, in that case. See picture below
- U turns have to be at least 180°. Turns that are almost a complete u-turn do not count as a u-turn.
- Deadline
All tracks should be submitted before the end of Sunday 24, January 2016 PDT.
- Prize
Honour and the right to brag! (Jozii used to say that. I hope anyone still remembers him? )

- Every map will be judged with marks from 1 (bad) to 10 (good).

More details will appear after submission ends
Good luck, and as always: If you have any questions, please ask
Some Tutorials
Examples:
The upper version is allowed, because the driving line is one continuous smooth turn.
The lower version is not allowed because you have to straight a little bit between the turns. So it counts as two 90° turns and is forbidden
In this picture both routes have a forbidden start, because the starting turn is bigger than 45°.
(for reference the diagonal of a square is 45° turned compared to one side. Yellow box for reference)
The left has a full u-turn and the right route has only an almost u-turn. So the right part is forbidden.
Afterwards the left route has a small turn that is smaller than 45°, so it's allowed.
