Okay, PM the MX Moderators with a link to download a zip/rar/7z of all your maps and I'll batch update the maps for you. (y)

This offer stands for anyone who wants to batch update their maps on ManiaExchange.

Big thanks to TGYoshi who made this possible. (l)

After the second jump, on the right side, there is a block that has a deep black surface. It's just not looking right. :s

No problem, I have in a MP4 converted map a completely red booster, the platform is completely red :-w

This is a bug with the remapping of some textures that objects use.

Try converting again after Lagoon is out and maybe Nadeo will have fixed this issue by then.

Does this mean, that new shadows have to get calculated on all tracks that were already updated, when Nadeo has fixed this bug?
No problem for my few tracks, but I'm thinking about the tons of tracks that are getting updated right now. :'(
(But maybe shadows are the smallest problem with old tracks...)

It's a problem with some tracks indeed. And yes, it will be present in some of the maps we're updating... if they used those objects.

However, authors can update their own maps to fix those issues (once the remapping is sorted out). Or if the author is inactive, someone else can report the map and we'll update it for them eventually.

Not all lightmaps will need to be converted again, just the ones with the issue with those objects. And even they are playable, but may just look a little bad until they can be updated.

It's an imperfect system, but we can't wait around to update every map until all the bugs are fixed, or there won't be many maps to play in the coming weeks/months.

And yes, lightmaps and objects aren't the only issues. Geometry changes to some blocks will affect some finely tuned jumps. For instance, I know one map by Voyager006 in Canyon that had a jump where you jumped over a fence. Now your car catches on it most of the time. Obviously most PFs will be broken, if they're not broken already.

The good news is, the vast majority of tracks will probably be just fine.

Eyebo, I understand, I don't mind moving into the future. I think it was a matter of wanting both, lol. The option of the future way and a backwards compatibility with stuff already made staying the same. I often like driving the new and the old. I'm sure that is more difficult than it sounds. I'm getting older and a bit set in my ways, I certainly will give it a chance. I'm certainly hoping Lagoon will be fun to drive.

While converting and testing my tracks, I noticed some blockmix and Mediatracker issues.

Please could you replace my already updated tracks by the original ones? I will take the time to update them by myself if necessary.

Thank you in advance :)

Sure, I'll locate the backups, send a copy to you, and restore the map pages to the MP3 versions.
And I'll add a condition that your maps are off limits for the auto-updater.
