Hopefully the system will encourage people to drive and comment/award more tracks (if they're worthy). If that happens, then it's a win-win and we might see participation go up for everyone.

@skunky: everyone, lol.
@eyebo: I already see tracks with 2 awards and like 10 replays, so it becomes even worse for builders, since they know they get attention on their tracks, but don't get any feedback.

I wouldn't call this worse, at least the authors would see that their tracks are beeing driven.
Before they felt like nobody even noticed they are there. ^^

while this is true, I think that most authors want to see hard evidence that someone liked their track.

hehe, true we dont know how are, and how aren´t (y)

ofc 20 tracks with no replay is easyer to reach top 25 8-|
i download a track and try it and my first tought was to try and just submit on 10 trracks but that is damn hard when a track is super fun i sure play atleast 10 minutes (2 x server time) and if its extremely fun/good track i play it for 1 hour.

and tm2 is alot easyer to do a good time than tmu its a very kind game for all players. (l)

I noticed in particular one thing:
Since the replay submission has been added, people only hunt map without leaving awards or any kind of feedbacks (and sometimes i also do that tbh).
But on the other hand, this is a ++ on the map:
-If people hunt, that means that people like to drive the map!
-Your map is hunted, this is really nice, and also, it's better than getting an award. Maybe you get a friendly award, but you won't get a friendly "replay". So, this is a good thing imo.

Of course, to improve the building, authors need feedbacks, but this im pretty sure that it will come with the time.
Actually, people is really addicted, everybody uploads the most replays as they can, without carrying about feedbacks.
When this "hype" will decrease, feedbacks and awards will increase. That IMO ofc.

I think you have a point there, deja. The replay system is still a novelty, and users are focusing on uploading their replays before leaving feedback. Once users fall into more of a track testing rhythm, I'm sure we'll start to see more feedback.

An author should understand that if a track is being hunted, he must have done something right, or else people wouldn't bother with it.

Agree.
Seeing people hunt on my tracks is fun, even if many of the players didn't award them.
I've always had time submissions from people who didn't award my tracks. And other people who praised the track but didn't submit a time even if there hadn't been even 10 replays at that time.
It's just the way it is.

i giva a track award as fast as possible to show the autor that i like his track and i meight submit my replay later to but not allways and when i play offline if i like it, but online i must find the track before i award it right and that can take some time and sometimes i forget it but i found it later wow this one i forgot about :$ but sometimes iam not sure and i don´t know what feedback i can give, becouse the track is fun but nothing else, but next time i play the track i start to like it and maybe give him award...
and if i like a track i award it and only then. the award dont tell me if i should award it or not, overrated / underated dosn´t matter to me if i award i do so becouse i like it in some way. :p

there is no underated tracks just less played tracks maybe.
