Hello Internet users!
After having built countless maps for the MX KO's, I decided to finally give "serious" mapping a go again. Of course my choice was to build a Valley track, since it's by far my favorite environment as of now - in regards to driving AND mapping.
For the first time being, I also made use of the mesh modeler. I was quite scared of using it before as I expected it to be quite difficult to pick up. Surprisingly enough, the basics are easy to learn and only require a few IQ points to understand. That way I could implement a couple of custom objects into the map, e.g. a smoothened out version of block 1-4-1 which you can find at the start and at the end of the track, as well as freely placeable pillars. At this point I really appreciate the effort Nadeo has been putting into the mesh modeler as it's a really useful and versatile tool. You just have to get started :p
My wall of text is not ending yet because I still want to talk about the track itself - as usual, I tried to build the map as fair as possible for all skill levels. That means no nasty transitions or speedchecks, just pure driving. Of course I've put special emphasis on the scenery because I fucking love doing that 8-| .
The map turned out just as expected and thanks to my viewers over at Twitch, where I built this track live, I received some extra inspiration. That way the re-use at the end has been made possible! :d
Anyway, enough of the blabla. Hope you enjoy the track, appreciate any sort of feedback. (y)

I will also host a little planets competition on this one to spice it up. Deadline is the 5th of February 2018, 23:59 CET.
1st: 5000 planets
2nd: 2500 planets
3rd: 1337 planets
4th-10th: 690 planets
Another bonus of 3333 planets in case you beat my author time. It's not extraorbitantly fast, but it's ok I guess 8-|
All submitted replays will also end up in a little video. If you want to become famous, this is your chance. (brb)

bai!
