Black Velvet Canyon!

A remake of my 2006 Stadium track Black Velvet. Known for it's back drop at start followed by a top-down Micro Machines cam and halfway it changes to a normal race. Why this remake? Just for fun.

A back drop in Canyon doesn't do a backwards salto like in Stadium. The canyon car falls with it's roof down, not with it's nose down. So it needed a little bump. But the gameplay is still similar to the old track (look at the arrows for timing). Oh but you will have a dented roof the rest of the track.

Technically I could have rebuilt this track one-on-one but it would have killed the replayability. The original Stadium track is 0.53min, in Canyon its 1.07min. So I removed two corners at the end which felt boring anyway. No wallride-into-corkscrew but a slalom-into-corkscrew.

Stadium vs Canyon. Things I noticed:
-Blocks are 4 times bigger in Canyon.
-Theoretically a Stadium track can fit into 1/4th of Canyon's building area but because the Canyon car steers wider you need more space.
-A Stadium-to-Canyon remake ends up longer (time).
-Canyon wallrides suck (but we knew that).
-Canyon has less scenery blocks than the old Nations ESWC which was already limited.
