Honestly, it's "Best of the Week" or "Best of the author" ?
The authors should make an effort but what can a Mr.DvD be sure the track well, are numerous and popular ?

Best of the Week is meant as a way to see the most awarded tracks each week, but also it serves the important purpose of exposing people to a variety of authors. Having more diversity in Best of the Week will be a good thing.

I've had more than one track in best of the week in the past, and I didn't really like it. It felt like I was pushing someone else off the page who might have got more exposure had I not released 2 tracks that week.

Since then I've tried to limit myself to no more than one track per week because of concern I might end up crowding other authors off BoTW. Well, now I don't have to worry about that anymore and I can post more tracks.

I have zero doubt that MrDVDs fans will continue to follow and award his maps, and his maps will continue to be downloaded and played on some of the most populated servers in Canyon.

But this will allow up and coming authors to have their chance at Best of the Week as well. It's good for drivers, record hunters, and authors too.

We still need a "see more" page, like we had on TMX, to show all of the most awarded tracks of the week, because its an important and interesting thing to look at.

Furthermore all lists show 1 track per author.
It's more than consequent to do the same in botw.
The botw is also a platform for the authors to get their names shown up.
Their other tracks are just one click away.

except maybe seeing how basically all of the awards you've given have been to Mr.DvD and some  tequila guy; you are absolutely clueless about what's right and wrong because you're in cahoots with Mr.DVD and are clearly cliquing together to exploit the site to get into the BOTW, so don't pretend you have any idea what's best for the site. I suggest you shut your mouth before you start to embarrass yourself.

General:
I think Mr.DvD among the 10 best mappers here in MX, not only because he created many tracks, but because he created the popular track on countless servers, because they're just fun, good and popular.
I see it not as good highlight tracks from authors if only one track is allowed, because then there are some bad tracks, but rather than disdain of a good author.

The whole problem is to know that MP is a flop and it hardly attracts new people.
To date there are only 72k players worldwide.
Here nothing is going on MX, a few good tracks per day / week.
Why then forbids her to good tracks in the "Best of the Week" ?

What I am going and what tracks I find good and award is probably still my thing.
For all those who think they would have to ask me something.

Eyebo said that the BOTW filter helps people to get to know different authors. How is that his problem? It's nothing but the general public's problem. If people only tested tracks from one tracker, the community wouldn't evolve anywhere. Mr.DvD got famous here quickly because active awarders from TMUFX came here as well. That's understandable and everything, but those awarders and mappers aren't the only people here. Not everyone likes simple hunters. General public is the one that would suffer in the end. The people who don't like the DvD-styled maps would leave because they got no exposure, and the community would get even smaller. I don't think any of us wants that.

I really suggest you start trying out some other mappers' tracks if you really think that this decision affected the quality of the tracks in BOTW. Whether the quality was good or bad before, I don't think it has changed.
