Man, this project is moving slowly. Another project that was too ambitious, perhaps?

Back in my day (read: old man's voice), people would have their parts done within the day. :-w

Back in TMN ESWC days, map's were way more simple. ...Rome wasn't built in a day either.

Calm yourself. I was only being facetious.

The project is further along than it appears. I've updated the first post with the other 3 builders who have finished.

Good to know the project is moving! I do see resemblances with that other failed project. For instance parts are also 30 seconds long which seem to have killed D75. It's saver to build 10 second parts like in the current Lagoon project which was practically done in a week, well with 9 people and it's not as hard to build as FS but still. But in this FS project the advantage over D75 is that there are less people, people connect parts directly to the previous one, and parts are tested before passing to the next builder. So less post production is needed. But yeah, 30 second parts are tricky for big projects.

So how many more mappers are going to build?

Flood has taken over as project lead.

Due to problems with parts, and the difficulty/near impossibility in repairing them, he's reset the project back to the end of Part 2. I've updated the original post to reflect this change.

I imagine he'll coordinate most of the rest of the project on Discord, but I'll try to keep things updated here in the original post as I see progress being made.

It looks like Eternity dropped out, as he doesn't want to build his part again.

So right now we have 17 builders who haven't built yet, and 5 others who had a part, but whose part got reset.

Racho asked to be removed, as he doesn't have time to completely rebuild a part.

SapphiroN has also asked to be removed, as he dislikes the way the project is being handled.

Also please note the length for parts changed to 10-15secs now, instead of 30. Thanks GR for the suggestion! :)

Even when the project is already been going on for half a year, my question is...
Can I still participate by making a section for the map?

I have just played the latest version with 8 parts and I don't see why the project should be reset. Eternity's part was fixed by Racho before it was passed to the next builder and should not have been a problem since. I see plenty of 'not-perfect-but-ok-enough' parts throughout the rest of the track. But the track still works good enough.

Well actually the last part with the up side down road should go. It doesn't work in cam1 and even with an MT cam it's too hard/confusing. You could keep the upside down idea but make it easier. Like a simple flat 90 degrees turn.

So no-one should go imo. Just try to make parts shorter now. Like 15-20 secs. I'm just afraid that resseting the project will end in fail.

And maybe next time don't use discord. Things can get way too personal there. :p The most important thing in community tracks is to let people build what they want even if it's not perfect. If you want a perfect track then build one yourself or with close friends. ;)
