I've just released a new track (smurf in 30 seconds) and my oh my... so proud of the intro.
(screenie is a screendump of the actual intro) The entire smurf and font was built with 2D triangles. It took me a total time of 38 hrs, but as i am going to use it for all my 30 sec tracks, in the end it'll probably be a timesaver. (had to build it in trackmania forever and export to maniaplanet as it's still not possible to build in tm2) |

Very nicely done blinn. I know its a b1tch to make these. I made South Park out of 2D triangles. Took me 20 hours and everyone thought it was a picture lol. Its in my tmnf track Magnaflux btw. Here's a picture. Their mouths are moving as you can see in this video but because it has like a thousand connection points it would take ages to make the characters move as an animation which I originally intended. | |

Tobbe: I used images on Obzen. Basically, I just made a picture where I wrote the text and selected the font. Then I just imported it to TM. The images weren't too big in size I think, I guess that's why they loaded quickly.
This sounds pretty cool though, I'll check it out. |

If someone remembers "ObZen" by "Ville" back in TMUF, he somehow included a font which loaded pretty fast too, without using triangles.
Nevertheless, amazing work. |

uh... what? how? I mean... huh?
Okay, I've actually seen your post on ManiaPlanet forums about triangles... so I know how it works... but that's just an incredible job. It goes by so fast and seems to simple. A lot of people will probably think it's just an image. But the beautiful thing about triangles is that it loads fast, there's no link to die, and it SCALES. It's geometry people!!! Also, transparency is beautiful. I do like how the letters come in though. Really fantastic work! I haven't tried the map yet, but I'll award if I have something to say about the map itself. |
