Sometime, the blockmixing remove some things to the block itself like fence, barrier,etc...
So when you re edit the map, the blocks sometimes try to fix themself to make the thing that dissapear repappear.
It's the only reason i guess. But maybe...

Sounds good. If I do use a podium piece, should I just leave it out of the corner that has all the other selected blocks (since a map can have only one podium piece)?

The podium is a regular block. So if you place a podium, you would be restricted to 9 different blocks basically :P
You can use each of the 10 blocks as often as you want.
Nope, you're not allowed to use objects ;)

If you update the details of a track, the 'Routes' field will be reset to Simple no matter what you had before. Though, the information will be saved until next time you update ;)
